This year, a new six-week immunisation performance-based funding measure has been introduced as part of the 2025/2026 primary care immunisation performance measures for Pinnacle practices. Since the announcement, we’ve been working with Te Whatu Ora to validate data and ensure practices will have clear visibility of their performance and funding received.
The Pinnacle Foundation is a charitable trust that reinvests surplus income from Pinnacle’s profit-for-purpose entities into primary care across Te Manawa Taki, supporting access, workforce and innovation.

The practice system support service is the first Pinnacle point of contact for the network, serving as subject matter experts in various general practice business processes, and supporting practices with new initiatives.

The practice management toolkit has been developed in response to the Pinnacle Workforce Survey findings from the reception and administration feedback. Some respondents found the health systems difficult to navigate, funding hard to understand and the business of general practices overwhelming. The practice management toolkit provides tools and information to support practice managers, business managers and others involved with the management of general practice.
From 1 October 2025, all Pinnacle practices can use the new Practice Portal — a secure, easy-to-use hub for claims, remittance reports, payment files, and sharing documents, designed to save time and give you clearer oversight.
