    Te Manawa Taki Pathways of Care team, in conjunction with Pinnacle, held a 45 minute webinar to share the most up-to-date information in the region about the assessment and management of Hepatitis C and a range of sexual health conditions as provided in the clinical pathways. The team also demonstrated HealthPathways, providing a practical understanding of how to best use this web-based tool.

  • HPV outcome codes: manual PMS update (Medtech)

    Medtech users would have received release notes confirming that the HPV outcome codes have been updated in your PMS. Unfortunately, the updated codes that were released for Medtech practices do not match the nationally recommended outcome codes. To mitigate clinical risk and to ensure overall data consistency please manually update your PMS to reflect the nationally recommended HPV outcome codes.   • GPwER vs GPwSI - A call to action

    Dr. Jo Scott-Jones advocates for the use of the term "GPwER" (GP with Extended Roles) instead of "GPwSI" (GP with Special Interest). He says GPwER is well-defined, advances the specialist GP role, and uplifts and empowers practitioners, whereas the term "GPwSI" is poorly defined, offensive to some, and does not contribute to the advancement of the profession.
