Ko Awatea LEARN is an initiative that provides access to an e-learning platform for nurses across our regions, and for general practitioners in Taranaki.

Ko Awatea LEARN is an initiative that provides access to an e-learning platform for nurses across our regions, and for general practitioners in Taranaki.

Ko Awatea LEARN allows nurses to access courses used across a number of Te Whatu Ora regions; enhancing national participation and collaboration.

Returning user information

If your employer and/or email address hasn't changed since you last logged on, follow the prompts to sign in. For password assistance, use the forgotten password link.

If you have changed employer and/or email address, please see your regional information below for advice and contact details.

First time user information

Sign up by following the prompts on the page (see example below). Often you can log on with no further assistance.

Note: You must have a separate email address for each nurse, rather than a generic email address such as 'nurses@practicename.co.nz'.

You will be notified once you are set up in the system.  

Ko Awatea LEARN Waikato

Each nurse wanting to access site resources needs to send the following information to:
learningdevelopmenthr@waikatodhb.health.nz.

  • Full name.
  • Email address.
  • Role.
  • Organisation.
  • Location town/city.

Ko Awatea LEARN Taranaki

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki has agreed to fund access to Ko Awatea LEARN for all primary care clinicians.

Ko Awatea LEARN Lakes

Each nurse wanting to access site resources needs to send the following information to:
training.help@lakesdhb.govt.nz

  • Full name.
  • Email address.
  • Role.
  • Organisation.
  • Location town/city.

Ko Awatea LEARN Tairāwhiti

Each nurse wanting to access site resources needs to send the following information to: pad@tdh.org.nz.
  • Full name.
  • Employee number (if applicable).
  • Email (preferably work but personal Gmail will suffice).
  • Role.
  • Preferred password.
