IV treatment for adults with moderate dehydration not responsive to oral fluids +/- antiemetic that can be safely managed in the community e.g. gastroenteritis, hyperemesis gravis, migraine. Oral rehydration only for children (6months - 15yrs) with moderate dehydration or at risk of getting severely dehydrated due to gastroenteritis that can be managed safely in the community.

Patients identified as being at risk of being hepatitis C positive are able to be screened at a range of service providers. If any of these patients are hepatitis C antibody positive they can then engage with general practice in order to have further testing and possible treatment initiated.
