Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) The Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) exists to help people in the follwong areas find temporary accommodation while their whare is being repaired or rebuilt, due to Cyclone Gabrielle and the Auckland floods. Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) Te Moana a Toi (Bay of Plenty) Te Matau-a-Māui (Hawke’s Bay) Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) Tairāwhiti (Gisborne) Tararua District Waikato Once a person is registered, a staff member will call them within a few working days to assess their specific needs and outline the next steps. This will mean TAS can quickly offer accommodation once it becomes available. People should only register once per household.
