Professional supervision short course

In response to the voices of the network captured in the Pinnacle Workforce Survey 2023, Pinnacle would like to offer funded places for registered health professionals from within the network to have a further opportunity to upskill in professional supervision using a strength-based approach. This is not clinical supervision.

What is professional supervision?

Professional supervision is purposeful reflection, which provides the opportunity for practitioners to:

• pause and engage in intentional conversations about professional practice
• build the skills to support others to identify, celebrate and mobilise their strengths
• gain insight into ways of using their extensive practice knowledge and skills, and
• develop and implement strategies and actions that can be applied in practice.

• Since the course we have implemented fortnightly "debrief" session with extended nursing team using some of the skills learnt.
• This is MUCH more useful for me, for the staff I oversee, and patients have already benefitted from this approach- so thank you! 
• Helping colleagues solve their issues/problems rather than suggesting solutions for them. I am listening much better.
• Allow them to express and process issues/concerns/problems themselves while you guide the conversation rather than directing the conversation.

Requirements to apply for the course:

• professional registration
• current Annual Practising Certificate from your registering body
• confirmation with your workplace regarding your availability to attend these course dates.
