Join our next intake for Practice Plus, so you can offer your patients an extended after-hours service with a trusted virtual provider. Reduce the demand on your workforce at no cost to your practice!
Practice Plus has been co-designed with our GP network by Tu Ora and Pinnacle, to create a service that acts like an extension of a patient’s normal care team. Patients can be offered an appointment that evening rather than having to wait for the next available business hours appointment.
The service is now officially two months old and getting positive GP and patient feedback. More than 60 general practices are using the service across the four PHOs.
The Practice Plus clinical team has adjusted well to the platform and are confident in providing the service. Patients are also enjoying the convenience and quality of the service; as the service is receiving an average star rating of 4.5 out of 5 for satisfaction.
“Your service is such a lifesaver especially for someone like me who suffers from anxiety when having to visit doctors. [The doctor] was so helpful and didn’t make things awkward. I think for someone who may find it hard to navigate using a device, it was straight forward [to know] what you had to do to answer the call and there weren’t any added unnecessary steps. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs to access the doctors out of hours or even if they’re someone like me who suffers from anxiety!” - Māori patient aged ~30 years old (shared with permission).
Dr Mike Haymes from Naenae Medical Centre in Wellington said, “I am impressed with the high standard of quality on the summary consultation notes being sent back to me on the care provided to my patients. We have been working with Practice Plus in true partnership with input into the implementation of the service to improve the outcomes and experience for our patients as well as the practice team.”
Rising COVID-19 case numbers make the benefits of Practice Plus even more valuable.
