Waikato support on offer for complex mental health cases

Join our psychiatrist-led GP supervision group, offering confidential supervision of difficult cases.

The group is suited to GPs who are managing high volumes of mental health presentations and have become the go-to mental health doctor at their practice, whether by design or by default, or are looking to strengthen their mental health literacy.

Members are invited to present cases, drawing on the collective wisdom of the group to explore possibilities for further understanding and management. The group addresses both the doctor–patient relationship (using a Balint-style process) and practical psychiatric assessment and management.

The group will be registered as a peer group for CPD purposes.
