Supporting immunisation for unenrolled tamariki in Waikato
AIR coordinators in Waikato are undertaking a review of unenrolled tamariki who are under-immunised, with the goal of ensuring whānau can access the immunisations their children need.
This work involves two key strands:
- connecting whānau with community immunisation providers
- where possible, supporting enrolment with a general practice.
As part of this process, coordinators may need to trace where whānau last accessed medical services. Your practice may receive a phone call from a community immunisation provider following up to support whānau engagement. No action is required from your team unless you're able to assist with this information.
