Stratford Health Centre x-ray facility currently unavailable

Te Whatu Ora is pleased to confirm the old x-ray equipment in Stratford is being upgraded to a new digital unit. This upgrade includes building works to future-proof the x-ray room.

From 15 August-10 November 2025, the Stratford x-ray facility and service will be unavailable. To ensure continuity of care, additional appointments are available at:

• Taranaki Base Hospital
• Hawera Hospital
• Waitara Healthcare Centre.

Te Whatu Ora acknowledge this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience. The result will be a modern radiology unit that better serves the Taranaki community.

Key dates:

• 15 August 2025: Decommissioning of old X-ray unit.
• 10 October 2025: Completion of building works.
• 14–20 October 2025: Installation of new digital unit.
• Until 6 November 2025: Testing, commissioning, and applications training.
• 10 November 2025: ew X-ray room opens.
