Claims for six-week immunisations – have you submitted yours?

There is only a short time left for practices to claim their six-week immunisations under the pre-call/recall funding initiative. Data from the Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) suggests there are number of six-week immunisations currently un-claimed. This funding aims to support practices with the time and effort required to undertake good pre-call/recall processes, and where required, referral to outreach or other vaccination service providers. The pēpi six-week immunisations don’t need to have been delivered by the practice for a claim to be submitted. Pēpi just need to be either pre-enrolled or enrolled with the practice and have received their six-week immunisations between 1 April 2024 and 30 June 2025.  Instructions to support claims being made are available on our website . We have also identified a number of under-paid claims from across the network, where priority population funding would apply but a standard claim has been submitted. We will be providing back payment to the practices that have submitted these claims via BCTI on the 20th of June. Development managers will be in touch with practices to support the identification and follow up of un-claimed six-week immunisations.
